Nolan Burch Greek Leadership Academy
Apply today to be a member of the Iota Class of Spring 2024 of the Nolan Burch Greek Leadership Academy!
This multi-week, non-credit experiential leadership experience will pull together
select student leaders from any recognized fraternity or sorority to discuss critical
issues facing Fraternity & Sorority Life both at WVU and nationally. There
is no fee to participate.
The Burch Academy has a special focus on the lasting legacy of Nolan Burch, a WVU student who passed away in 2014 due to an unnecessary alcohol hazing ritual in a unrecognized fraternity. In an effort to promote a healthy and safe fraternity and sorority experience for all students at WVU, the Burch Fellows will be equipped with resources and tools that will inspire a paradigm shift in culture.
Any initiated member in good standing from a recognized social fraternity or sorority is eligible to apply.
Burch Fellows (those students who complete the Academy)
will be recognized at the annual Greek Awards banquet in April.
