West Virginia University’s Greek system is home to three Greek leadership councils, 28 chapters, and over 1,500 students. With more than 100 years of history on campus, our Greek community is founded on the ideals of scholarship, service, leadership, and friendship.

WVU fraternity and sorority members have a strong commitment to philanthropy and community service – last year they raised over $50,000 for various charities and performed over 10,000 community service hours.

The office of Student Organizations Services advises chapters and councils, coordinates Recruitment, provides valuable programming, serves as a liaison to national headquarters, and tracks academic and retention statistics. The department manages the Fraternity Housing Initiative, a program designed to improve the quality of fraternity houses while fostering living environments that encourage leadership and academic advancement.

Throughout the year we will highlight information that is of interest to the Greek community. Check back often for updates.
