The purpose of the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is to create a fraternity and sorority community at West Virginia University that will support and complement the academic mission of the University, that believes in and abides by the founding principles of the inter/national organizations and the responsibilities associated with fraternity or sorority membership, and that promotes the development of its members intellectually, socially, and ethically.

StaffMatthew Richardson, Ed.D
Dr. Matthew Richardson is the Director of the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life. Prior to his appointment at WVU, Matthew served as the Coordinator of Fraternity & Sorority Life at the University of Pittsburgh since 2013. He is a Brother of Delta Chi Fraternity.
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Duquesne University in 2009, a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration in 2011, and a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013.
Jessica Li, M.A.
Jessica is a Morgantown native and holds a B.S.B.Ad in Marketing from the WVU College of Business and Economics. Upon graduation, she traveled for Alpha Omicron Pi International Headquarters as an Educational Leadership Consultant and following her year on the road, she returned to WVU to complete her Master's in Higher Education Administration from the College of Education and Human Services. Jessica began working with the WVU Greek community in 2014 as a Program Advisor in the Office of Student Activities before transitioning to become the first full-time staff member of the newly-created Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life.
Mathew came to WVU after receiving a B.B.A. with a concentration in Finance and Economics at Mercer University. He is an Alumnus of Kappa Sigma, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Industrial relations. During his undergraduate years, Mathew served his fraternity chapter as Scholarship, Philanthropy, and Brotherhood Development Chair.
Sophia graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Spanish in August of 2016. She is a member of Delta Gamma and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Industrial Relations for Human Resource Management. Sophia enjoys being involved on campus, spending time with friends and family, trying new foods, and traveling.
Courtney is a junior majoring in Digital Marketing and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and National Pan-Hellenic Council. She holds the leadership position of treasurer, public relations chair, and secretary between the two organizations. She is also a member of Academic S.T.A.R.S. After WVU, Courtney plans to live in her home state of Maryland and build her career.
